If you have a university degree, a TOEFL score of 550 or above, and a desire to pursue advanced studies, you can enroll in a UCSC Extension certificate program. UCSC Extension offers a number of programs for professional development, taught by experts in the field. Courses are conveniently scheduled after 4 pm on weekdays and during the day on weekends.

Completing a certificate program can take from 6 to 15 months, depending on a variety of factors, including course sequencing and demand. An international student services fee is required before beginning the program. Actual certificate program costs vary based on individual courses within the program. Students must enroll in 12 credits in order to maintain full-time student status and retain the F-1 visa. Access to a car is required, as classes may take place at both our Silicon Valley campuses, which are approximately 45 minutes away from our Santa Cruz location.
