Trips and Activities
 One of the greatest advantages of the ELI program at UCSC Extension is its location. Santa Cruz is a few hours drive away from the mountains in Lake Tahoe, the wineries of Napa Valley, the hiking at Yosemite National Park and the shopping in San Francisco. And, of course, it’s right on the beach, giving ELI participants the opportunity to enjoy the sun, sand and surf of the Pacific.
The ELI recreation coordinator organizes weekly activities and plans weekend field trips. These activities give you the chance to get to know other ELI students, to practice English in a natural setting and to have a whole lot of fun.
