In this section, you will find everything you need to know about fees for the Intensive English Program at UCSC Extension, including a schedule of when fees must be paid. For information on how much our programs cost, please go directly to those pages:

This fee covers the costs of the UTC dormitory placement service |
| Student Services |
This fee covers the student identification card, medical insurance, recreation center pass and bus pass for unlimited rides during the term. The fee also covers the cost of orientation, the recreation program, planning for and subsidizing weekend field trips, immigration advising, computer lab access, computers in the student lounge, e-mail accounts and library cards. |
| WITHDRAWAL AND REFUND POLICY |
| If you wish to withdraw from the program, a written request for a refund of tuition only must be submitted to the ELI office. Absence from classes alone does not constitute official withdrawal. Pending acceptance of your written request, tuition for any 4-, 5-, 8- or 10-week session may be refunded as follows: |
| Request received two weeks prior to program start: Full refund of tuition |
| Request received less than two weeks prior to program start: 75% refund of tuition |
| Request received within the first three days of program: 50% of tuition only ` |
| Request received after the 3rd day of the program: No refund |
Please note: All other fees are non-refundable. Students withdrawing from the program must also leave any housing that has been secured for them by ELI. A student who withdraws because of an emergency may be given a credit against tuition for a future term WITHIN THE SAME FISCAL YEAR (July 1-June 30). Credit for tuition cannot be carried over from one fiscal year to the next.
